[ wip. there's definitely a better more engaging way to put this info down, but first, the info must be put down. ]
- - Androids in their world are highly advanced, and in more recent times, definitely considered 'people', though some may still challenge that notion.
- - Individual androids are called 'units', while the 'models' are the specific type that they are. Kai is the 'unit', K4.i is the model type, for example. (That being said, the words do tend to be used interchangeably in casual speech.)
- - Models come in 5 types : Standard, Arcane, Fae, Angelic, Demonic.
- - 'Standard' models are the more casually-designed, everyday looking models. They're typically more affordable, and don't have built in powers, or drive-slot powers when obtained. However, they still have the drive slots, so if a drive is bought later, they can get powers later on.
- - 'Arcane' models are the basic 'magical' units. They typically have some sort of basic built-in power, and come with 1~5 drives by default. These drives can be randomized, or specifically chosen. (This is relevant to the next three as well)
- - 'Fae' models are one of the three more special magical units, based on the abilities of the Trickster Goddess. Base designs and powers are typically based from Fair Folk-related myths, but that's not set in stone. Really, anything animal myth-based are likely to fall under here, or anything straight up fairy-based, or 'trickster' based. Some of these units can end up with insight that... might be a bit too past the veil.
- - 'Angelic' models are the second of the special magical units, with powers and aesthetics based more around the idea of 'Holiness', especially in regards to the goddesses Myrvisa and Alya. They are typically very pricey, with strong magical ability. While Arcane and Fae by default have more variety 'element'-wise, Angelic magic is very 'Light' based. "Holy."
- - 'Demonic' models are the third of the special magical units, with powers and aesthetics based more around the idea of 'Demonic'/'Dark' powers, especially in regards to the caretakers of the underworlds. They are typically very pricey, with strong magical ability. While Arcane and Fae by default have more variety 'element'-wise, Demonic magic is very 'Dark' based.
- - Sub-model types include things like 'War' models, 'Child' models, and 'School' models, as examples.
- - 'War' models are military-styled and built units. They aren't made anymore, and were specifically created to help during the third war.
- - 'Child' models are units created to look and have the mentality of a small child, typically for those wanting to raise children. They can be upgraded to new bodies to follow their stages in life as they 'grow up'. You need a background check and screening to get one.
- - 'School' models can serve a similar purpose to child models, however, they are usually either of Teenage or Young Adult age. Their original intended purpose was to act as companions for students currently attending school, be it middle/high school, or college.
- - Units in general, though, are highly customizable, no matter what the model type. If you want something more 'normal' looking, that's fine, but you could have a unit look however you want, whatever hair color, skin color, outfits, style, age, ect. ect-- hell, even 'species' if you wanted. Live your dreams.
- - Some people choose to transfer to unit bodies, a process that has become rather simple and easy by current times. They're generally called 'Synths' or 'Transfers', and all the above applies as well. Customize as you want. Get the abilities you want--- if you have the money.
